Giuliano Grittini was born in Corbetta in 1951 (where he lives and works with many artists and poets), he attended the school of graphic design in Milan and began working at the studios of numerous artists. For some years he worked as an expert in printing techniques, obtaining the title of an art printer. He collaborates with some Art and Poetry magazines. He has held several personal and collective exhibitions and has participated in numerous national and international art exhibitions. Bound by a sincere friendship with Merini, he is the author of many of his portraits in which - according to many critics - he manages to grasp, beyond the gesture and the face, the soul.
Author of numerous publications, including a booklet of epigrams and photographs of various artists and poets entitled "44 facce d'Autore", Grittini has also published for Stampa Alternativa, in the Millelire Collection, "Photographs and Aphorisms by Alda Merini - I always thank those who give me reason ".
His other works are: "Aphorisms by Alda Merini", photos by Giuliano Grittini, Stampa Alternativa, Viterbo, 1997 and, for the edition "L'incisione", the book of "Photographs and poems by Alda Merini". Finally, for the "Pulcinoelefante Edition", he has published in limited edition "Portraits of Poets and Artists".
In the book "Colpe di immagini", published by the publisher Rizzoli in 2007, he dedicated numerous photos to Alda Merini.
He currently works in Corbetta (MI) where he has an art print shop for his works.
